• Prior to going to SM Malls, make a list of things that you need and want to buy. 
• Having this ready list can help you concentrate on the things that you need to buy first and which one to prioritize.
• Example: Buy a pair of formal shoes for your office need because the old one has been recently soaked in the rain instead of a wrist watch which you just like because of the color. You call that a 'want.'

• Come Early
• My girlfriend and I were at SM North Edsa as early as 10:15am. There was not much people yet and only a few were cars were on the road adjacent to the mall. For a big sale such as these we know it can get hectic so we came in early.
• By arriving early, you also get the first dibs with the best deals and sale available

• Catch the 2-Hour Special Extra 10% Off
• I'm an SM Advantage Card member through my BDO Rewards Card. This enables me to get the extra 10% off discount with the 2-Hour Special sale on top of whatever sale item and price I get.
• You can also avail of this opportunity by getting your own SM Advantage card.
• The 2-Hour Special is usually held on the first two hours of the first day of SM Mall Sale which is 10am to 12nn. As long as you are in line to the cashier before 12noon, you get the extra 10% off your bill/receipt.

• There's nothing better than a retail therapy while sharing the experience of the best deals with a friend, family or special someone.
• In my case, I was with my fellow shopaholic girlfriend. :)
• This also comes in handy when lining up in the cashier/counter. While you are in the long line, the two of you can alternate while the other one continues with shopping. Saved time and saved boredom in long lines. That's what you call efficient time management! :)

After about an hour of looking for great finds, my girlfriend got two pairs of shoes and almost purchased a new set of dining table. On the other hand, I got a number of plastic storage boxes from the Home & Living section for my cluttered place in Makati.

Yes, I am from Makati and I braved the distance of going up north for SM North Edsa's Great Northern Sale - that's how SM-shopaholics we are. :)

I got the storage boxes on sale items at 50% off from almost a thousand down to Php 575 and Php 495, for the biggest and the next-biggest boxes.

Moreover, we were able to get the opportunity to get a special Gourmet Card which was given to customers for free.

By night fall, SM North Edsa upped the ante with a fashion show at 6pm held at The Block. It was a blast showcasing the latest fashion statements and different attire.

It was a tiring whole day sale but with my special someone and with the great deals and finds, it was all fun and worth it.
